Use it from Claude Desktop

This tutorial connects Claude Desktop to the Arkana MCP server so you can ask about Arkana’s data, with exactly the figures the back office shows, in plain language.

  • Claude Desktop installed and signed in (or claude.ai in the browser).
  • An Arkana account you can sign in to (password or Google on byvolare.com / gocimit.com). You will see in Claude exactly what that account can see in Arkana.
  1. Open Claude Desktop and go to Settings → Connectors.

  2. Click Add custom connector.

  3. Fill in:

    • Name: Arkana (anything you like).

    • URL:

      https://arkana.byvolare.com/mcp/arkana
  4. Click Add / Connect.

When you connect, Claude opens a browser window on the Arkana login:

  1. Sign in as you normally do (password or Sign in with Google).
  2. Arkana shows an Authorize screen naming the client (e.g. Claude), where it sends you back, and that the access is the same permissions you have in Arkana. Click Authorize.
  3. The window closes and the connector shows as Connected.

No token or API key is copied by hand. The sign-in does not expire on its own; it stops working if your Arkana account loses access, or if the token is revoked.

Start a new chat and ask about Arkana. Examples:

  • “List the active bookings booked this week.” (bookings_list)
  • “Give me the cost breakdown of booking BK-28776C91: how was the price built?” (bookings_get_cost_breakdown)
  • “For every fully paid booking in Spain last month, show the client and the actual gross margin.”
  • “Which bookings have an overdue balance?” (bookings_list with attention)
  • “All bookings to Chile departing in December.” (bookings_list with country and departure dates)
  • “What are Xin Chao’s cheapest departures from Barcelona?” (products_list_offers)
  • “Which hotels does the Beduino tour use, and on which days?” (tours_get)

Arkana answers with its own figures. For counts, trends, traffic or behaviour, use the Analytics MCP; Claude can use both connectors in the same conversation.

The server is a standard remote (Streamable HTTP) MCP server with OAuth, so the same sign-in works from other clients:

Terminal window
claude mcp add --transport http arkana https://arkana.byvolare.com/mcp/arkana
Terminal window
codex mcp login --url https://arkana.byvolare.com/mcp/arkana

Local clients receive the sign-in on a localhost callback, which Arkana allows. Locally, use http://localhost/mcp/arkana.

Machine agents such as Hermes do not sign in: they use a token on a separate, internal URL (see Connecting an agent).
